Catherine Hill ACA, CTA

Catherine Hill

Catherine, who lives in Silsden, left South Craven school in July 1995 and came to work at Stirk Lambert & Co as a trainee, initially studying for her Association of Accounting Technicians’ qualification (AAT). After gaining this qualification the next step in her career was to train as a Chartered Accountant, something that she achieved during 2000. A 20-month spell in an accountancy practice in Leeds brought useful experience, and then Catherine returned to Stirk Lambert & Co to complete her taxation studies in 2004 and became a partner in 2005.

Catherine has many varied interests outside of the workplace. She is an organiser for the “Dales Mini Run” weekend event held in Scotch Corner for Mini (car) enthusiasts – an event that has become more popular each year with 100 cars attending last years event. She is also a member of the “Young Enterprise” Board for the Craven area and currently holds the position of Treasurer. The role also entails working to increase the profile of Young Enterprise, liaising with the media, attracting new business advisers, organising prize givings/awards and generally ensuring future of the organisation. Catherine also enjoys Karate and jogging.
